Pricing rules
- Parts
- Shock absorbers, springs, control arms, bushes, ball joints, bearings and all other parts are charged separately.
- Replacement in pairs
- We recommend replacing shock absorbers and springs in pairs on the same axle.
- Wheel alignment
- After replacing control arms, track rods, ball joints, shock absorbers, springs or the subframe, a wheel alignment check is recommended.
- Wheel alignment at SPRAWNO
- At this stage SPRAWNO does not carry out wheel alignment. We can point out that it needs to be done after the repair.
- Additional work
- Any surcharge for seized components, additional cutting, pressing or dismantling requires the customer's consent.
- Torqueing bushes
- Rubber-metal bushes are torqued with the suspension in the position corresponding to its normal load.
- Check after the repair
- After the repair we check the joints, play, ride height and any noises during the road test.
- Safety
- If the condition of the suspension endangers safety, we inform the customer about the risk of driving on.
- Prices
- All prices are gross prices and cover labour.
- Customer-supplied parts
- With customer-supplied parts the workshop is responsible for correct fitting, but not for the quality, fit or durability of those parts.
Frequently asked questions
The suspension knocks, but I also feel play in the steering wheel — which is it?
These are two different systems and it pays to separate them. Knocking over bumps, a body that keeps bouncing after a pothole and uneven tyre wear are suspension. Play and vibration felt in the steering wheel itself, heavy turning or a whining power steering pump are the steering system — it has its own page here. During the inspection we check both, because the symptoms overlap, and we tell you which part actually has the play.
How much does suspension repair cost?
Labour starts from 180 zł per control arm, and we give you the exact price after the inspection — it all depends on what's worn (shock absorbers, control arms, bearings). We always present the quote before the repair, so there are no surprises. And one honest heads-up: after replacing control arms, tie rods, ball joints, shock absorbers or springs a wheel alignment check is recommended, and SPRAWNO does not do alignment at this stage — we tell you before the repair, not when you collect the car.
How do I know the suspension needs repair?
The most common symptoms are knocking over bumps, the body bouncing after hitting a speed hump, uneven tyre wear and the car pulling to one side. If you notice this, come in — we'll look the suspension over, check for play and tell you what really needs replacing and what can safely stay on.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, it's best to call 500 272 005 or book online. That way we take you without a queue and order parts for a specific date, so your car doesn't sit with us longer than necessary. We're in Bogucin on the edge of Poznań — an easy drive from Swarzędz.
How long does replacing suspension parts take?
A standard replacement of shock absorbers, control arms or links usually takes a single day, often on the spot if we have the parts in stock. For larger jobs we agree on a date and let you know when to pick up the car.
Is there a warranty on suspension repair?
Yes. We give a warranty on our labour and fit proven parts from known manufacturers. The parts themselves — shock absorbers, springs, control arms, bushings, ball joints and bearings — are charged separately; where you supply them, we are responsible for fitting them properly, not for their quality or durability. If anything gives you doubts after the repair, come back to us — we'll check it, no questions asked. We play fair: a quote before the repair, no hidden costs.
