Periodic Inspection, Oil and Filter Change — Poznań (Bogucin)
One visit, not two. We carry out the periodic inspection — brakes, suspension, steering, leaks, fluids, tyres, lights and exhaust — and at the same time change the oil and the oil, air, cabin and fuel filters. The basic inspection from 120 zł is done without raising the car; the underbody goes on the lift from the Standard inspection at 220 zł. Oil change labour from 149 zł. We also run a seasonal pre-winter inspection for 180 zł and a pre-roadworthiness-test check for 180 zł. We give you the price before we start. We're in Bogucin, on the border of Poznań and Swarzędz.
What the service includes
- Periodic inspection — brakes, suspension, steering, leaks and underbody condition; the car goes on the lift from the Standard package
- Engine oil change (synthetic/semi-synthetic) matched to the manufacturer's specification, together with the oil filter
- Air, cabin (pollen) and fuel filter replacement (petrol/diesel)
- Checking fluid levels — the fluids and consumables used to top up are charged separately, as are the coolant freezing point and brake fluid measurements
- Checking tyres and pressures, lights, auxiliary belts, hoses and the exhaust system
- Seasonal spring–summer and autumn–winter inspections, pre-long-journey and pre-roadworthiness-test checks
- Service inspection counter reset and a list of recommendations split into urgent, needs repair and monitor
- An honest limit to the service: our inspection does not replace the statutory roadworthiness test — we make no entry in the vehicle register and issue no SKP inspector's certificate

- Prices from
- For items marked “from”, the final price is confirmed from the VIN or after an inspection of the car.
- Additional work
- Any surcharge for restricted access, seized components or additional removal work requires the customer's prior consent.
- Customer-supplied parts
- The workshop is not responsible for the quality, durability or correct fit of parts supplied by the customer.
- Faults found
- If we find an additional fault during the service, the customer receives the information and a quote before the repair begins.
- Post-repair check
- After the service we check for leaks, the fixings and the correct operation of the system that was serviced.
- Disposal
- Used oils, filters and fluids are handed over for proper disposal.
- Prices
- All prices are gross prices and cover the check and the labour to the extent described in the given item.
- Nature of the service
- A service inspection carried out by the workshop is not the compulsory roadworthiness test and does not replace a visit to a vehicle inspection station (SKP).
- No SKP authority
- The workshop does not make entries in the Central Vehicle Register, does not extend the validity of the roadworthiness test and does not issue an SKP inspector's certificate.
- Scope of the check
- We check the components accessible without removal work, unless the customer accepts the additional labour and cost of removal.
- Inspection result
- The result of the check describes the condition of the vehicle at the time of the service and is not a guarantee that no failure will occur in the future.
- Hidden faults
- A standard inspection may not detect faults that occur intermittently, are inside components or are not visible without removal work.
- Fault classification
- We divide the irregularities found into faults that endanger safety, faults requiring prompt repair and items to keep under observation.
- Road test
- A road test may be carried out by a workshop employee with the customer's consent and only when the condition of the vehicle allows it to be driven safely.
- Refusal to road test
- We may refuse a road test if the vehicle has no valid roadworthiness test, insurance or number plates, or if its condition poses a danger.
- Additional diagnostics
- If the fault found requires further measurements or removal work, we give the customer the cost of further diagnostics before continuing.
- Parts and materials
- Parts, fluids, bulbs, wiper blades and other materials needed to rectify the faults are charged separately.
- Minor extra work
- Even minor additional repairs are only carried out after informing the customer and obtaining their consent.
- SKP measurements
- Without the appropriate equipment we do not carry out official measurement of brake force, shock absorbers, exhaust emissions or headlamp alignment.
- Estimate
- The estimate prepared after the inspection is indicative until the VIN, the vehicle version and the parts prices have been confirmed.
- Post-repair check
- A check of a repair we carried out is free of charge if it relates to the same job and is done within the agreed time.
- Safety
- If the inspection reveals a fault that directly endangers safety, we inform the customer about the risk of driving on and recommend transporting the vehicle on a recovery truck.

How much does an oil and filter change cost?
Labour from 149 zł. The final price depends on the car model, the amount and grade of oil, and the number of filters replaced. We always give the quote before work — no surprises. Call 500 272 005.
How long does an oil change take?
Usually 30–45 minutes. For a standard oil and oil filter change you can wait on site. If we add an air, cabin or fuel filter, it takes a little longer. Book by phone and we'll take you without queuing.
Do I need to book in advance?
For the oil change itself it's not required, but we recommend it — we'll prepare the oil and filters for your model and take you without waiting. For an inspection, do book ahead: a check without a booking carries a 50 zł surcharge and only happens when the workshop has room. Call 500 272 005. Do you offer a warranty and can I bring my own oil?
Yes — we provide a warranty on labour, and we use oils and filters from recognised makers, matched to your car's specification. You can also bring your own oil and filters: then you pay labour from 149 zł plus 30 zł for handling customer-supplied parts. In that case we are responsible for fitting them properly, but not for the quality or the choice of what you bring.
How often should I change the oil?
Usually every 10,000–15,000 km or once a year — depending on the car and driving style. For short trips and city driving around Poznań it's worth shortening the interval. We'll check the manufacturer's recommendations and advise the right timing.
Which oil do you choose for the car?
We choose oil that meets the manufacturer's specification (ACEA/API standards and OEM approvals) and the viscosity specified for your engine. We stock synthetic and semi-synthetic oils from reputable brands. If you're not sure, we'll check it for you before the change.
How much does a car inspection cost?
From 120 zł to 400 zł, depending on the scope. The basic inspection is 120 zł, the periodic Standard 220 zł, the seasonal pre-winter one 180 zł, the pre-roadworthiness-test check 180 zł, and the widest — before the dealer's warranty runs out — 400 zł. Those are gross prices for the inspection and labour; parts, fluids, bulbs and wiper blades needed to put faults right are charged separately, and we always ask for your approval before doing anything.
Does your inspection replace the statutory roadworthiness test?
No. A workshop service inspection is not the mandatory roadworthiness test: we do not make an entry in the Central Vehicle Register, we cannot extend the test due date, and we do not issue an inspector's certificate. We also do not perform official brake-force, damper, emissions or headlight-aim measurements. What we do offer is a pre-test check for 180 zł — we look at what cars most often fail on, so you don't have to drive to the test station twice.
What do I get after the inspection?
A description of the car's condition on the day of the check, with faults sorted into three groups: dangerous to drive with, needing prompt repair, and items to monitor. On request we will also prepare a written estimate of the recommended repairs — a separate item at 100 zł, free if you order repairs from us above the amount stated next to it in the price list. The estimate is indicative until the VIN, the exact version and parts prices are confirmed. We're honest about the limits: we check what is accessible without dismantling, so a standard inspection may not catch an intermittent fault or one hidden inside a component.
Can the inspection and the oil change be done in one go?
That is exactly why both are on one page — the car comes in once and we line the jobs up one after another.
