With a measurement, not a replacement. Before we suggest a new battery, alternator or starter, we check the starting circuit, the charging circuit and the basic electrical connections — very often the culprit is a corroded terminal or an earth strap, not an expensive part. A 12 V battery test alone costs 79 zł; the 'Starting Problem' package, which covers the whole cranking path, is 179 zł.

Alternator from 300 zł, starter from 350 zł. Those are gross labour prices — the alternator, starter, battery, wiring and connectors are charged separately. We confirm the final figure against the VIN, because the labour time depends on the engine type and where the unit sits: in one car the alternator is right on top, in another the bumper has to come off.

By measuring. We load-test the battery, and we test the charging circuit with the engine running and the electrical loads switched on. If the charging voltage is correct and the battery still won't hold, replacing the alternator changes nothing. And the other way round: a new battery behind a failing alternator will be flat within days.

In cars with an energy management system, yes. After fitting we run the available battery registration or adaptation procedure — otherwise the control unit keeps charging it as if it were worn out, and the new battery loses capacity quickly. We check this by VIN and tell you up front whether your car needs it.

We select by the required capacity, cold cranking amps, technology (standard, EFB or AGM), plus dimensions and polarity. A stop-start car needs EFB or AGM — an ordinary battery will not last long in one. You can also bring your own: then you pay 80 zł for the fitting, plus registration if required.

Because the fault can sit anywhere in the loom — from a connector under a seat to a chafed harness inside a door. Electrical fault location starts at 220 zł and is billed by the time it takes. We always say how long we expect it to take, and if more time is needed we ask before carrying on.

No. The figures quoted are gross labour. Batteries, alternators, starters, wiring, sensors, connectors, fuses and relays are charged separately, and we show you the prices before fitting. Every surcharge — awkward access, a seized fastener, a damaged wire, thread repair or extra dismantling — needs your approval first.

Computer diagnostics reads the control units' memory and tells you what the car already knows about itself. Auto electrics starts where the scan tool goes quiet: we measure voltages, currents, voltage drops across wires and circuit resistance. If the check engine light is on, start with computer diagnostics; if the car won't start or something has stopped working, start here. We often do both in one visit.

The prices on this page cover the 12 V system — including in a hybrid, because the starter battery, alternator and lighting work the same way there. High-voltage systems are a separate matter: they require certification, equipment and a separate quote. Our hybrid car service handles those.

After every repair we measure resting voltage, charging voltage, the cranking sequence, parasitic drain and the operation of the circuit we worked on. That way we know — and you can see — that the fault has genuinely gone, rather than temporarily stopped showing itself.
