At SPRAWNO in Bogucin near Poznań (Swarzędz municipality) reading the engine control unit's fault memory costs from 99 zł, a full AutoScan of every available control unit is 159 zł, and hunting down the cause of a specific fault starts from 180 zł — reading the codes and finding the cause are two different jobs, and we do not pretend they cost the same. We deduct the diagnostics fee from the repair if we carry it out and it concerns the fault found during that diagnosis. We always give the quote before starting work.

Pricing rules
- Availability of functions
- The availability of control units, actuator tests, adaptations and coding depends on the make, model, year, specification and the version of the control unit fitted.
- Fault code clearing
- Clearing fault codes does not mean that the cause of the fault has been removed.
- Diagnostic outcome
- Diagnostics is charged for the work carried out and for the diagnostician's time, regardless of whether the cause of the fault could be established unambiguously.
- Additional work
- If tracing the fault requires electrical or mechanical measurements or the removal of components, the customer receives an additional quote.
- Customer's consent
- Before the package time is exceeded or any additional work begins, the customer is informed of the cost and must approve further diagnostics.
- Additional time
- An additional 30 minutes of diagnostics costs 110 PLN, and an additional hour 220 PLN.
- Security gateways
- On some cars, running a test or an adaptation or clearing fault codes requires access to the manufacturer's secure gateway and an active account.
- Report
- The report presents the data read from the control units at the time of testing and is not a guarantee that there are no hidden faults.
- Mileage
- Reading the mileage from the control units is not a guarantee of its authenticity.
- Diagnostics credited against the repair
- We credit the cost of diagnostics against the repair when we carry out that repair and it addresses the fault found during this diagnosis. The credit covers the basic diagnostic fee — any additional diagnostic time is charged separately.

- All prices are gross prices and cover labour.
- Customer-supplied parts
- With customer-supplied parts the workshop is responsible for correct fitting, but not for the quality, fit or durability of those parts.
Frequently asked questions
How much does computer diagnostics cost?
It depends what you are asking for. Reading the engine control unit's fault memory alone is from 99 zł — that is a read-out, not an identification of the cause. A full AutoScan of every control unit costs 159 zł, and diagnosing the cause of a specific fault starts from 180 zł; the widest package, with extended live data, active tests and a test drive, is 249 zł. We deduct the diagnostics fee from the repair if we do it and it concerns the same fault — we deduct the base amount, and any extra diagnostician time is charged separately.
How long does the diagnostics take?
The read-out and clearing alone usually takes up to 20 minutes and we often do it on the spot. Locating a more complex fault (measurements, a test drive) takes longer — in that case we let you know the time and cost in advance, and we ask for your approval before the package time is exceeded.
Do I need to book in advance?
For a fault reading alone, usually not — drop by our workshop in Bogucin near Poznań during opening hours (Mon–Fri 8–18, Sat 8–14). For longer diagnostics it is better to call ahead on 500 272 005 to book a slot without waiting.
Do you give a warranty?
On a repair carried out after the diagnostics we give a warranty on our labour; parts are charged separately and we are not answerable for their quality, especially where you supply them. The diagnosis itself identifies the cause of the fault — it is not a guarantee that the car has no other hidden problems: the report describes what the control units showed at the time of the check. If the same fault comes back after a repair with us, we re-check the car under the complaint procedure.
Does simply clearing the fault fix the problem?
No. Clearing removes the record from memory but not the cause — if the fault is still there, the warning light will come on again. That is why we first determine the reason for the fault and only clear it once the problem has been fixed.
Which makes and cars do you diagnose?
We handle most passenger cars with an OBD II socket (petrol, diesel, LPG, hybrids) — Polish and foreign makes. We read engine, ABS, ESP, airbag and other control-unit faults. If we cannot read your model, we will tell you right away and will not charge you.
