What the service includes
- Engine and timing — belt, chain and wet belt together with the water pump, rollers and tensioners, rocker cover and sump gaskets, crankshaft seals, engine mounts, replacement of the whole engine
- Work inside the engine — cylinder head, head gasket, valve clearances, a rebuild — is done by a partner workshop we refer you to; the prices are shown against those lines in the price list
- Clutch — complete clutch kit, dual-mass flywheel, concentric and external slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch hose and cable, bleeding the system
- Gearbox — oil change on manuals and a static change on automatics, gear linkage cables and selector mechanism, oil seals, gearbox removal and replacement, adaptation after the repair
- Driveline — propshaft, centre bearings, universal joints, flexible couplings and CV joints, driveshafts, oil in the differential, transfer case and Haldex coupling
- Exhaust system — silencers, pipes, clamps and hangers, manifold, catalytic converter, lambda sensor, temperature, pressure and NOx sensors, EGR valve, spot welding
- DPF/FAP filter — soot loading and regeneration history check, forced regeneration, removal for specialist cleaning, filter and sensor replacement

- Fitting parts you supply yourself — we are then responsible for correct fitting, but not for the quality or durability of that part
When it's worth coming in
- The clutch slips under acceleration, the pedal sinks or a gear goes in stiffly
- The gearbox jerks, jumps out of gear, or the automatic shifts with a thump
- The DPF light is on, the car drops into limp mode or never finishes a regeneration

Frequently asked questions
How much does an engine repair cost?
The labour cost depends on the fault and the engine version, which is why we confirm it against your VIN — only then is it clear whether this is a rocker cover gasket or lifting the cylinder head. Timing kits, pumps, belts, gaskets, bolts, oils and fluids are charged separately. An engine overhaul only begins once the components have been inspected and you have accepted a detailed cost estimate.
Replace the clutch alone or the whole assembly with the dual-mass flywheel?
We decide once the gearbox is out. That is when we inspect the friction disc, pressure plate, dual-mass flywheel, release bearing, fork, oil seals and mounts — and tell you what is genuinely worn. If their condition calls for it, we recommend replacing the clutch, flywheel and release bearing together: the gearbox comes out once rather than a second time six months later. If the flywheel is sound, we will not push you to change it.
What does a gearbox oil change actually involve?
On a manual we drain the old oil, check the plug and refill with oil that matches the manufacturer's specification — the oil itself and any plugs are charged separately. We also tell you whether there were metal filings on the plug. On an automatic we do a static change: we drain the accessible quantity, replace the filter where one is accessible, and set the level following the manufacturer's temperature procedure. This is not a dynamic flush of the whole system. If the gearbox is already jerking, we start with a diagnosis and road test, not with oil.
Will cleaning the DPF fix my car?
Not on its own. A blocked filter is usually the symptom rather than the cause, so before we burn anything off we check the fault codes, differential pressure, temperatures, soot loading and regeneration history. If conditions allow, we run a forced regeneration — we will not attempt one when loading is too high, the filter is damaged or the engine itself is faulty. Where a regeneration is not an option, we remove the filter for specialist cleaning or replace it. Cleaning will not fix a leak, a faulty injector or a life of short journeys only: with the cause left unaddressed the filter will block again. We do not remove or software-delete DPF, FAP or GPF filters, EGR valves, SCR systems or AdBlue.
Why do you only quote injector work after testing?
Because first we need to know which injector is at fault. We start with the fuelling correction values and a back-leakage test — that points to the odd cylinder out without stripping the car. Only then is it clear whether new seals are enough or the injector goes to a test bench for checking and reconditioning; that is done by a specialist who quotes after inspection, and we start the work once you have accepted the estimate. After replacement or reconditioning we write the correction codes into the ECU where the manufacturer requires it.
I have put the wrong fuel in — what now?
Do not start the engine, and call us. How much work it takes depends on whether the fuel reached the pump and injectors — if the car never moved, it usually ends with draining the tank, flushing the lines, replacing the filter and refilling with the correct fuel. We dispose of the contaminated fuel. If the car will not move, we can bring it in on a tow truck.
The car vibrates under acceleration or knocks on turns — what is it?
Usually the driveline. Before replacing anything we check play, boots, leaks and mountings, and trace the source of the knock, noise or vibration — with a road test and a fault-code read. On a propshaft we mark the position of its components before removal so that reassembly does not introduce new vibration. If the shaft needs reconditioning and balancing, a specialist workshop does that.
How long does a timing belt or clutch replacement take?
A timing belt or a clutch is usually one working day. A timing chain, a wet belt or dropping an automatic gearbox can take two. Every line in the price list below shows the real working time, and we agree the collection date when you drop the car off in Bogucin — and we keep to it.
Do I pay for the quote?
The quote for the scope of the repair is free — we tell you what and how much before we start. What is chargeable is diagnostics, meaning the work of finding the fault: measuring fuel pressure, checking the DPF, a road test on an automatic gearbox. That is billed for the work carried out and the time spent, including when the cause cannot be pinned down conclusively. Prices in the list are gross and cover labour; parts are charged separately.
Will you take me in for something small — one wiper blade or a broken door handle?
Yes, it is a section of the price list in its own right. The smallest standalone job is a Quick Repair at 100 zł — one simple task of up to 30 minutes. If you are already in for a larger service, we will do the small thing cheaper or free of charge. We confirm the final price once we have seen the car, because how the part is mounted decides how much has to come apart. Glass, upholstery, paintwork and key cutting we do not do ourselves — those go to specialist workshops.
What do you check after the repair, and is there a warranty?
After every repair we run a final check: sealing, mountings, fluid levels and stored fault codes, plus a road test on clutch, gearbox and driveline work. After timing work we also verify the synchronisation and how the engine runs. We give a warranty on our labour. If you fit a part you supplied yourself, we are responsible for fitting it correctly but not for its quality or durability — and we say so before taking the job on.
