Knocking over bumps, the body bouncing after a pothole and uneven tyre wear are suspension. You do not have to guess: we lift the car, check for play at the wheels and at every joint, and tell you which part actually has the play — including when it turns out to be the suspension.

Labour for a single track rod end is 160 zł, and a full set of tie rods and ends on both sides is 520 zł. Those are labour prices only — ends, tie rods, boots and other parts are charged separately, as are fluids. We give you a binding quote for the whole job before we start.

Yes. After replacing track rod ends, tie rods, the rack, the column or suspension components, a wheel alignment check is required — without it the car may pull to one side and the tyres will wear unevenly within weeks. Treat it as part of the cost of the repair that has to be planned in from the start, not as an optional extra.

No. At this stage SPRAWNO does not perform wheel alignment — we do not have our own alignment rig yet and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We say so before the repair rather than after it, and we point you to where the alignment can be finished around Poznan and Swarzędz. Our labour does not include alignment and we do not add it to your bill.

Both, but we split the roles honestly. Rack replacement and play adjustment we do ourselves. Remanufacturing a rack or pump is priced by a specialist shop — we bill the removal, refitting, fluids and the post-repair check, and the remanufacturing cost is quoted by whoever does that work. When it comes to replacing rack seals, the final cost is only known once the rack is stripped down, which is why that item is priced individually.

We start with power steering diagnostics at 179 zł: we check the fluid level and condition, look for leaks, listen to the pump, inspect hoses and the belt, and read faults and live data from the control unit. Only then is it clear whether a fluid change or a system flush is enough or a new pump is needed — pump replacement is labour from 350 zł, with the pump and fluid charged separately.

Because the labour time depends on how the car is built — access to the rack, whether the subframe has to be dropped, the state of the bolts and whether coding is required. The quoted figure is the lower bound for a typical layout. Once we have seen your car we give you a firm price, and only then do we start; parts, fluids and the alignment are charged separately.

Yes, we replace steering wheels, airbag clock springs and column components. When the column or rack is disconnected the steering wheel must be locked against rotation — otherwise the clock spring tears easily, and that turns into a repair on top of a repair. After a clock spring replacement an SRS diagnostic and fault reset is usually needed; we bill that separately and tell you about it before the work starts.

On cars that have been through Polish winters, a track rod end sometimes has to be cut off, a bolt shears or a thread needs repairing. Every such surcharge — cutting a seized part, extracting a sheared bolt, thread repair, dropping the subframe, extra coding — needs your agreement. We call, explain what happened, give you the figure and wait for your decision. Nothing is added to the bill after the fact.

That depends on what is causing the play, and we are not going to guess over the phone. If, after inspecting the car, we judge that the state of the steering is a safety risk, we will tell you plainly that driving on is dangerous — even when that means the car stays with us. If the play is minor and safe, we will say that too and book the repair for a time that suits you.
